Unboxing The Blade 120SR RC Helicopter

I have been longing to get into flying RC Helicopters for as far back as i can remember! Finally i pulled the trigger and got myself a Blade 120 SR to start off my flying side of RC!

The Blade 120 SR is a great beginner helicopter. It allows for a lot of adjustments both on the transmitter and on the helicopter itself to gradually allow you to more advances movements when you are ready.  Their is two setting on the Transmitter witch provide either little movement or advance movements. This allows for more basic or advanced joy stick responses. On the helicopter their are also two different rotor head linkage positions that also allow for limited movement or more advanced movement of the helicopter as well.

The Blade 120 SR is considered a micro helicopter, witch is best used when indoors. However it can also be flown outdoors with very little wind.

This helicopter is a single rotor helicopter with a fixed pitch setup. Allowing it to fly very similar to that of a multi rotor helicopter. However this will allow you to get the feel of how a single rotor helicopter is flown, without it becoming too difficult for new adventures into the hobby.

Below is the facts taken right from Horizon Hobbies website.

*The Blade® 120 SR heli has a fixed pitch that will give you the confidence to master the basics of single-rotor flight. Its unique rotor head was specifically designed to provide the inherent stability of a coaxial helicopter, but provide the agile control of a single-rotor helicopter. Modeled after the popular ultra micro-size Blade mSR heli, the sub-micro-size 120 SR heli is larger, faster and more powerful—which makes outdoor flight a reality.

It comes out of the box 100% factory-built and equipped with a factory-installed 5-in-1 control unit with a Spektrum™ 2.4GHz DSM2®-compatible receiver, main motor ESCs, mixer, gyro and fully-proportional servos. A ready-to-fly version with 2.4GHz DSM2 transmitter and a Bind-N-Fly® version without transmitter, for those who already own a DSM2 aircraft transmitter, are available. Both include a 1S 500mAh Li-Po battery and a single-cell, variable rate Li-Po charger as well as an AC power supply.
